When does BLT season start?
I think July 4th is a good start to BLT season! Growing up in Arkansas, we just called them bacon and tomato sandwiches. I still do , and I rarely add the lettuce. Which frustrates my Yankee hubby!
As someone who gets In-N-Out with no lettuce: I see you, and I understand you.
BLTs are also the only place I enjoy an abundance of mayo.
BLT season starts when the best tomatoes start appearing! Early to mid July seems about right.
Maybe we should just say July 15! And make it a federal holiday.

How's it selling?
Really well. It's on my old-fashioned white loaf and we paired it with Dill Pickle Soup. Rainy day here, so comfort food is the big winner.
