I live in SF, and went to two raclette parties pre-pandemic. During the pandemy, my partner and I got a couple fancy raclette grills super cheap. We had a raclette party a month ago, it really is a blast. We've been trying to get friends and family to also get raclettes, so we can have a mega raclette party one day.
Unless it’s a daily newsletter, I almost never notice that I didn’t get an issue. I’m also a newer subscriber (longish-time listener) so I don’t know what the schedule is.
Also, I don’t mind if you miss an issue, but I don’t need to have you let me know about it! It’s like when people announce that they’ve reached a particular number of followers—I get that this is important for them but does not matter to me, lol
I was just thinking about restaurant surcharges! I think it’s so tacky. You’re basically announcing to everyone that you would prefer not to compensate your employees fairly.

That sounds like THE DREAM. The cheesy dream.

Maybe I should post randomly so no one expects anything and we all win! LOL ... but maybe?

Ha, so true!

That is such a good summation. AND I also like calling things tacky.
I love the newsletter. Don't love Substack but it's always good to read your stories regardless of where they might be.
Thank you! Yeah, I'm aiming to get off Substack but it's going to be a long process.
